Vera Davis Bulloch, age 80, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at her home in Cedar City, Utah. She was born October 12, 1934 in Cedar City, Utah to John Bertly Davis and Mary Ashdown. She married Kern Neilson Bulloch on June 7, 1951. They later sealed their marriage in the St. George LDS Temple on September 16, 1993. They had 8 children together. Vera was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the years, she served in many callings, such as a primary teacher, part of the Relief Society, making sure the rolls got passed and signed through all the classrooms. She loved to fulfil her visiting teaching duties with her dear friend and sister-in-law, Roene Morris as her partner. She also spent time working at the family history center. She worked at Tri-State Motors as secretary for many years before retiring. She was loved there by all her co-workers. Vera's home was always the center of everyone's heart. It was always a place to gather and visit. She was always taking care of everyone's needs and would go without and give to all those in need. Over the years she brought several loved ones home to take care of them as they passed on to the next life. Even though this tired her so, she never complained. Her passing saddens the family and all those that love her. But we are comforted to know that she has gone on to meet those that she has missed so and are waiting to welcome her home beyond the veil. Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Kern, her mother, Mary Ashdown, a brother, Deon, daughters, Stephanie and Mary, and one grandson, Shawn, that she held very dear to her heart. She is survived by her other children, Darryl (Jackie), Holly (Craig) Orton, David (Misty), Shawn (Shelley), Nicole, and Lesa (Matt) Nelson, all of Cedar City, UT, and one brother, Roy Urie (Ellen) of Clearfield, UT. She has 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Cedar City LDS 2nd Ward Chapel (256 South 900 West). Viewings will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Southern Utah Mortuary (190 North 300 West) and from 9:30-10:30 am on Saturday prior to service at the Church. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
