Veronice Haring Obituary (1938 - 2022)

Veronice V. Martinez Haring, 83, of Washington City entered into heaven Saturday, January 29,2022. She was born on June 8,1938 to John D. and Eumelia G. Martinez in Delta, CO. She moved to Utah at a young age and attended schools in Davis County. She worked at H.A.F.B. and retired after 31 yrs. of service. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 33 yrs., Paul E. Haring, her daughter Darcel {Dennis} Roath, her sons Johnny Parks and Perry Williams, Stepson Chad [Tina] Haring, stepdaughter Michel [Chad] Vigil, sister Isabell Vigil, brother Dennis [Fleurette] Martinez, 13 Grandkids, and numerous Great Grandkids. Nephews Adam and Ryan Martinez, and a niece Tresta Leavitt. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Ray Williams, brothers Joe and Johnny Martinez, and nephews Justin and Jason Vigil. She was a member of the Grace Place Bible Church Ivins, Utah. Veronice was never a stranger, she was a friend to all she met. She loved nature, the outdoors, and all of God's creatures, big and small. She will be greatly missed! With love she shares her favorite poem: I AM A CHRISTIAN by Maya Angelou When I say... "I am a Christian” I’m not shouting, "I'm clean livin" I'm whispering "I was lost", now I'm found and forgiven.... When I say... "I am a Christian", I don't speak of this with vain pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on. When I say..."I am a Christian” I’m not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say..."I am a Christian” I’m not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say... 'I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon HIS name. When I say...'I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's grace, somehow. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
