William Larry Gentry, age 67, passed away June 7, 2014 in Beaver, Utah. He was born in Colusa, California November 27, 1946, the son of William Landrum Gentry and Elva Glenda Staples. William earned a Bachlor's degree in Accounting at BYU. He has served as a volunteer for the Richfield police force and also served for four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Larry served a LDS Mission in Ireland. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. William loved to work on his cabin, wave hello to his ravens, drink coffee while watching the elk in the front yard, check on the goslings in the pond, go fishing and kayaking, and grow beautiful flowers. He also enjoyed water color painting, hiking, and biking. He tended faithfully to his vegetable garden, enjoyed laughing with his sweetheart Shalona Lake Clark, and lived every moment of his life to the fullest. He is survived by his children Shane (Jennifer) of Denver, CO; Roshelle (Manu) of Riverton, UT; Molly (Jake) of Bluffdale, UT; Nick of Alpine, UT; Andrea Gentry, Judd Hunter and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Angela. He is preceded in death by his sister Andrea Gentry Brienholt who he was very close to. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Beaver 1st/2nd Ward in Beaver, UT. A viewing will be held prior from 9-10:30 am at the church under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Interment will be in the Gentry Family Ranch Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Larry Gentry Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
