Loving husband, father and grandfather passed away of natural causes, at age 90, on Monday, July 7, 2014. Born in Parowan, Utah on August 26, 1923 to Clark and Minnie Laub Orton. Worth was one of nine children all of whom spent their growing up years working with their dad on the family sheep farm. Worth served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Europe and achieved the rank of Staff Sargent; he was honorably discharged in 1945. While preparing to deploy to Europe he met Annette Candio in Niles Ohio. After the war they returned to Parowan and were married March 23, 1946 and have been married for 68 years. Worth retired as Security Guard for Wackenhut Services at the Nevada Test Site. He loved that job and served as Union President for many years. He was president of the Parowan Chamber of Commerce and was instrumental in building the Parowan swimming pool. Father of 4 children, Carol (Robert) Mercer, Diana Tyson, Rex (Diane) Orton and Candi (Clay) Robinson, 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. A Graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, at 12:30 pm at the Parowan Cemetery. Visitation with friends and family will be held prior to the service that day from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Parowan 3rd Ward. Arrangements are being handled by Southern Utah Mortuary.
