Cedar City, Utah

Yvonne Ivey, 82, of Cedar City, Utah, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and caring for others.

Yvonne was the beloved daughter of Juanita Ivey and a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her sons, Drew and Jason, her grandson, Andrew, and her great-granddaughter, Eliza.

Yvonne dedicated approximately 40 years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing home health care and hospice care. Caring for others was more than a career for Yvonne—it was a calling. Her compassion, kindness, and gentle spirit brought comfort and dignity to countless people during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Yvonne had a special love for animals, especially dogs. Animals brought her great joy, and her caring nature extended to every animal she encountered.

Her faith was also an important part of her life. Yvonne was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she found fellowship and spiritual strength.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Ivey, and her brothers, Gordon, David, and Jack.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, grandson, great-granddaughter, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Yvonne’s 40 years of caring for others are a lasting testament to the kind of person she was—selfless, compassionate, and always willing to help someone in need.

Her love for her family, her faith, and her beloved dogs will remain cherished memories for those who knew and loved her.

Yvonne gave so much of herself to others. Her kindness was her legacy, her love was her gift, and her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
